No. We are not an organ broker, a transplant center, or an organ procurement organization, and we never buy or sell organs. We don't match, allocate, evaluate, or transfer organs. What we offer is a way to share your story and connect – all medical evaluation, matching, and transplantation is handled by hospitals and their teams.

Two kinds of people: recipients, who are looking for a living donor, and donors, who want to help.

Donors browse recipient stories and tap the heart to express interest. The recipient sees that interest and can accept or pass. When a recipient accepts, the two connect and can message each other about next steps – which they then take through a transplant hospital.

No. We can't promise a connection, a compatible donor, or a successful transplant. What we provide is a place to share your story, be seen, and start the conversation. Whether a donation moves forward is decided by you and the medical team, not by us.

No. We're not a medical provider and we don't give medical advice. All testing, evaluation, approval, and surgery happen through accredited transplant centers.

People on Transplant Organizers are seeking a living donation of a kidney, a portion of a liver, or a portion of a lung. The donation itself is not arranged here – it happens through a transplant hospital, which decides whether any donation is possible and safe.

There's no typical timeline. It depends on many factors – compatibility, medical eligibility, and timing – so it varies widely from one person to the next.

Yes. You can update your profile anytime from Edit Profile on your Account screen.

Nothing right now. Transplant Organizers is free to use while we get started, for recipients and donors alike. If that ever changes, we will tell you directly and in advance – never as a surprise. Donors never pay us anything, ever.

Because we've lived this. We understand the highs and lows that surround the transplant arena – we've stood on all sides as donors, and alongside loved ones who received, and who did not receive, life-giving organs. We respect the intense hope and despair that can accompany the journey toward living organ donation, and our only aim is to increase hope and ease despair through the connections made here.

Choose that you need a donor when you sign up, then follow the steps to add your first name, the organ you need, a photo, and your story in your own words.

When a donor is interested in you, they appear on your Prospects screen. You can accept or pass. Accepting connects the two of you so you can message. Passing is silent – the donor isn't notified.

You connect, and a Message button opens so you can talk. From there, the next steps – testing and evaluation – happen through the transplant hospital.

Yes. You can have more than one prospect and more than one connection at a time.

Only four things are public: your first name, the organ you need, your photo, and your story. Everything else – your last initial, age, state, blood type, and anything medical – is private. Your email address and phone number are never shared with anyone; conversations happen right here. Once you and a donor have both agreed to connect, that donor is shown your legal name, date of birth, the hospital where you are registered, and its donor questionnaire link – the things a hospital needs to identify you and begin.

You never pay Transplant Organizers anything – and it is illegal to be paid for an organ. The medical costs of the donation itself – testing, surgery, hospital care – are typically billed to the recipient's insurance, but other expenses like travel, lodging, or time away from work can be out of pocket. The transplant center's team can point you to programs that help with those costs.

Tap the heart on their profile. They'll see you as a prospect and can choose to connect.

Your interest shows as "Awaiting Response" until the recipient decides. If they accept, you connect and can message each other.

No. A connection is the start of a conversation, not a commitment. Whether you're able to donate is determined through medical evaluation at a transplant center, and you can step back at any point.

No. Living organ donation is a gift – you are never paid through Transplant Organizers, and it is illegal to buy or sell organs.

Yes. You can express interest in as many recipients as you'd like.

Not being approved is common, and it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong with your health. The transplant center makes the final determination based on safety and compatibility.

If you need a donor, four things are public: your first name, the organ you need, your photo, and your story. Everything else is private. If you are a donor, your profile is never public at all – it is shown only to a recipient you have reached out to. Sensitive details are shared only once you have connected, and only to help with the hospital process.

Your information is stored securely and shared only with connections for hospital purposes. When you sign up, you'll review an authorization explaining exactly how your health information is used.

"Close Account" hides your profile, keeping your data per our Privacy Policy. To request permanent deletion of your data, contact us.

Never send money to a donor or recipient, and don't agree to pay for an organ – it's illegal, and no legitimate connection will ask for it. Keep medical and identifying details to a need-to-know basis, share them through your transplant team, and report anything that feels off.

A connection here is not a medical determination, and blood type is only one factor. Every potential donor goes through testing and evaluation at a transplant center, which makes the final determination about compatibility and eligibility.

The transplant center does. A donor's medical eligibility and compatibility are verified by the hospital through its own questionnaire and screening process – Transplant Organizers does not perform medical screening.

No. Every medical step – screening, testing, approval, and surgery – happens through accredited transplant centers. We help you connect; your medical team handles your care.

Everyone using Transplant Organizers must be 18 or older, and the service is currently available in the United States only.
