Common questions

The things people ask first.

How do I get started?

Choose whether you need a donor or are considering becoming one, create your account, and follow the steps. If you need a donor, you’ll write your story and add a photo. You must be 18 or older, and we currently operate only in the United States.

Who can see my page?

If you need a donor, four things are public: your first name, the organ you need, your photo, and your story. Anyone can read them without an account, and search engines can index them.

Everything else stays off the public internet. Your age, state and blood type are visible to people who create an account. Your legal name and contact details are shared only with someone you have accepted, so the two of you can talk and your hospital can identify you.

If you are considering donating, nothing about you is public. You are not listed, not searchable, and not visible to anyone until you choose to reach out.

How does connecting work?

Donors read recipients’ stories and choose who to contact. Recipients cannot browse donors and cannot contact them. When a donor expresses interest, the recipient decides whether to accept – and only then can the two message each other.

We made it work this way deliberately. If recipients could contact donors, anyone willing to donate would be overwhelmed with messages and would leave. The choosing belongs to the donor.

Do you handle the medical side?

No. We are not a hospital, transplant center, organ procurement organization, or broker. We do not match, allocate, evaluate, or transfer organs, and we promise no outcome. All medical evaluation, testing, and transplantation happen through a transplant hospital and its own team, with the donor’s independent advocate.

How do I take my page down or delete my account?

You can take your page down at any time from your account settings, including after a successful transplant. To delete your account and the personal information associated with it, use Account › Delete Account, or email us at info@transplantorganizers.com and we will do it for you.

One thing to know, because people underestimate it: once a page has been public, we can remove our copy and ask search engines to drop it, but we cannot delete copies other people or services have already made. Our Privacy Policy explains this plainly.

What does it cost?

Nothing is being charged at this time.

A note on safety

It is illegal to buy or sell human organs.

No payment of any kind may be offered, requested, or accepted in exchange for an organ, and this service may not be used for that purpose. Living donation is a gift.

If you see anything that looks like the buying or selling of organs, tell us. Write to info@transplantorganizers.com and we will act on it.

Never send money to anyone you meet through this service. We do not verify identity or medical claims – see our Terms and Privacy Policy.

We’re glad you’re here.

If something on this page doesn’t match what you’re seeing, tell us. We would rather fix it than defend it.

Transplant Organizers is not a transplant center, an organ procurement organization, or a medical provider, and nothing here is medical advice. We do not match, allocate, evaluate, or transfer organs, and we promise no outcome. Adults 18+, United States.
