The right person
can’t find you if
they can’t see you.
Most living donors don’t come from a hospital list. They come from someone hearing a story and deciding to do something about it.This is a place to tell your story.
How it works
You write it once, and it keeps working after you have closed the laptop.
Tell people who you are
A photo and your own words. Not your diagnosis – you. What you do, who you love, what you’re hoping to get back to. That’s what people connect with.
About the photo: head and shoulders works best – close enough that someone can see your face clearly. You’ll crop every photo yourself before it goes up, and the first one becomes your tile on the homepage and leads your page’s gallery.
Your page goes up
Your first name, the organ you need, and your photo go on our homepage and in our directory, where anyone can see them – no account required.
Donors reach out to you
People considering donation read stories and choose who to contact. They come to you. You decide who you want to talk to.
Your hospital takes it from there
Once you’ve connected with someone, your transplant center handles all testing, compatibility, and the transplant itself. We’re not part of that – and we never promise an outcome.
What other people can see
Being found means being visible. We ask you to make public only the four things a stranger needs in order to care what happens to you. Nothing else.
Anyone can see
- Your first name
- The organ you need
- Your photo
- Your story, in your words
Only with an account
- Your last initial
- Your age and gender
- Your state
- Your blood type
Only once you both agree
- Your legal name
- Your date of birth
- The hospital where you are registered
- Your hospital’s donor questionnaire link
The last column is the information a transplant hospital needs in order to identify you
– and it is how the hospital process begins. Once you have accepted someone and they
have accepted you, your donor can open your hospital’s questionnaire and complete it,
and from there the hospital takes over. Nobody sees any of it before then.
Your email address and phone number are never shared – not even after you connect.
Conversations happen right here, through the site.
Please read this part carefully. Your photo, first name, and story will be on the public internet. That means they can be found by search engines, and by people you know. It is what makes this work – a donor has to be able to find you – but it is a real decision, and it is yours to make. You can take your page down at any time.
Everyone gets seen
The photo gallery order is random, every time. Every visit to our homepage shows a different set of faces, drawn at random from everyone who is looking.
Nobody can pay to be higher up, to be featured, or to be shown more often. There is no ranking and no algorithm.
Your place in line is not for sale – to you or to anyone else.
Your living donor might be someone who hasn’t met you yet.
Give them the chance to.
